C H Rewinds was established in Lancashire in 1968, and has expanded over the last forty years to become a centre of engineering excellence serving Manchester and Northern England.

Brief company history

  • 1975 : Incorporated as a limited company
  • 1985 : Achieved BS5750 Quality Certification
  • 1988 : The company expanded by acquiring George Platt Limited
  • 1995 : Achieved ISO9002 certification
  • 1997 : Moved to new premises of over 25000 square feet
  • 1999 : Taken over by Rewinds & J Windsor & Sons Ltd
  • 2004 : George Platt moves onto the same site as
    C H Rewinds to create the best equipped motor workshop in Greater Manchester / Lancashire.
